This 150 claim group is located in the historic Florence Mining District of Idaho. The adjoining group of claims running 240' lower in elevation produced ore running 3 - 5 ounces of gold per ton over the ridge.

The gold bearing vein on this Candelaria claim group is 19 feet wide. Back when gold was $20.67 this ore assayed at $40 per ton! On the surface the vein was crossed with trenches for the length of it. The strike is 15 degrees north of west. The dip is 50 to 70 degrees the south. The overburden ranges between 2 feet and 4 feet deep.
