This is your chance to own a nice placer claim with good gold values and good road access in the historic Florence Mining District. Grab samples indicate gold, silver, platinum, and rare earths are present on these 800 acres of claims.

It is located on the Meadow Creek drainage of The Florence Mining District in Central Idaho. In 1862 1,000 men were averaging $10-12 per day panning or using a rocker boxes. Gold was $20.65 an ounce at that time. This would make $10 to $12 then, $400- to $500 at today's prices. The claims on Grouse Creek, a nearby tributary to Meadow Creek was reported as "paying fairly".

A recent grab sample from the very surface of the creek assayed:
