"The Gold Basin Placer Project is viewed as one of the best placer projects in Arizona from the standpoint of proven reserves through exhaustive testing, ore tenor, location, and logistics, water availability and year around climate." Location: The Gold Basin claims are located on 332 acres in central Arizona, within the Hasssyampa River Basin, shore 20 miles south of Prescott and one mile north of Wilhoit at an elevation d 4,100 feet. The claims are near the paved Arizona State Highway 89 and fully accessible using an unpaved forest service road to the site. Ore Quality and Volume: Over S400,000 has been spent on extensive surface and drill testing, bulk sampling and assays over the past 15 years. Since 2005 approximately $800,000 has been spent on mine development, including the successful acquisition of Federal and State permits, construction of two water ponds, permitting and drilling two deep water wells, extensive bulk sampling, and turn key development. The claims contain at least 17-24 million cubic yards of economically viable head ore. Proven and probable reserves shown from Nebeker report data are now valued at over US S600,000.000 at $850 per ounce. Much of the ground with the same or similar geology has not yet been tested. Mining: The property is located within the Prescott National Forest, although the site is desert like with no merchantable timber. A Permit and Plan of Operations has been approved by the US Forest Service together with other State permits. The reclamation bond has been approved and is in place The production season for this placer operation is year around. The property has the potential for 200 cubic yards/hour. However, it may be more practical and prudent to start at 50 to 100 cubic yards per hour and then eventually expand to greater process volume subject to the development of adequate continuos water supply and a modified operations plan. Water: Water is available from a river flowing on the claims. An existing deep pool on the shore of the river has a pump in place with piping to the mining site recycling ponds. The Plan of Operations and 1872 Mining Law permits pumping from the river at this pond site. Two water wells on the site have been permitted and drilled and can provide water for mining during dry periods. Initial ore mining is from two sites. One is near the plant and on the Nugget claim The second is 1 5 miles south of the plant and is on the Red Hill claim Red Hill ore contains more iron oxide clay binders than the Nugget and thus is somewhat more difficult to wash. Red Hills ore appears to have an excellent yield and may come in as high as $50 per yard and higher if current gold prices continue to rise. Nugget ore has a lower yield and will come in at $15-$25 per yard. The on site mining engineer has determined that the best way to wash the clay from Red Hill is to mix it with the rocky Nugget ore in the wash phase. This has proven highly effective with no unwashed dirt or gold found in the tailings. Current gold recovery is being facilitated with a "Yukon'sluice system. More elaborate recovery systems are available such as as specialty placer jigs. Various centrifugal concentrators such as the Knelson Centrifuge and certain types of placer tables including the Stephans Concentrator. The maximum capacity of the existing plant is about 10 - 15 yards per hour. Mixed claims ore is estimating a $24 per yard return on processing mixed claims ore. Although trucking is not permitted on weekends a second or third shift could be added to expand operations to 24 hours a day. Mining costs are ranging $2.50 - $3.50 per yard, perhaps less for a larger operation. Existing Equipment at the site includes a 4x4 backhoe with a one yard bucket, a front end loader with a 4 yard bucket, a trackhoe excavator, a Cat D-8 dozer, a dump truck to haul ore from Red Hill, a tool storage cargo trailer and shed, an office and watchman's trailer, 500 gallon propane tank, 500 gallon diesel tank, site pickup with diesel fueling capability, concentrate recovery equipment, and a full compliment of generators, pumps, tools, supplies and accessories, and a nearly new 10-15 cubic yard trommel system with attached ore bin/belt feeder and is extremely efficient. Expansion: The operating trammel is only intended as a start up plant to prove gold values, washability factor, recovery system, available continuos watersystem, recycling system and production costs. To expand the current operation it would be a good idea to aquire a Goldfiled Alaskan Trommel with a 50-100 yard per hour capacity and run it at about 80% capacity to achieve the maximum effective capacity. A Goldfield Plant runnig 75 yrads per hour will generate approximately $12,000 in revenue per 8 hour shift. Using a conservative $20 per yard a 225 day operation would produce an annual revenue of $2.7 million per year per shift. If you are looking for a proven turn key placer mine, you should take a close look at the Gold Basin Placer.
