The Washington Silver Mines consist of 2 main quartz veins on a Patented 70 acres. The mine was first discovered in the late 1800's and was last worked in the 1920's. Studies show that significant widths of silver bearing quartz exist and that a significant tonnage of material may be proven up in the 30 ounces of Silver per ton range. Although the tenor of the quartz between the ore shoots is only 6 - 8 opt Ag, some ore shoots contain 75 - 100 opt silver! Copper is also present in significant quanties running 4% in some areas. Other minerals present are galena, tetrahedrite, chalcopyrite, bornite, and sphalerite. Even though thousands of feet of underground workings exist, none of the veins are currently accessible. Now that Silver prices are up it makes sense to explore this property seriously and begin mining. The Patented 70 acres is located at the 3000 foot elevation in Okanogan County, Washington. Water is available at the north end of the claims for drilling. The owner is asking $650,000 for the property with owner terms. He will also discount the price for cash to $550,000. |
