According the Gurupi Project ( Geological Service of Brazil , 1977 ) , the oldest stratigraphic unit is of low expressivity in the area , and represented by Gurupi Group. Over all dissenting with Maracassumé metamorphic Association ( Arquean ), the Gurupi Group is constituted by rocks of low degree of metamorphism , consisting of phyllites, shales, slate and levels of quartz, where there are abundant concordant or discordant quartz lodes, throughout all the sequence.

The origin process of the deposits auriferous in the area is related to the intrusive bodies of the Tromaí Unit that cut the sediments of the Santa Luzia Unit removing the gold contained in these rocks, concentrating in the quartz lodes. In accordance Viseu Project ( Geological Service of Brazil , 1983 ) these mineralized quartz lodes in gold that occur regionally, represent the final phase of the magma that originated the Tromaí Unit.

Although the average depth of the 81 holes is 2.82 m and the average of the 06 holes, random in the 3,562.5 ha , done manually has reached a value of 2.62 m of depth; we will use only one value below of these , for consideration of reserve .

The gold met in the alluvium , elluvium and colluvium is secondary , than with the continuation studies and the gold extract act , there¹s the big opportunity of find out the primary gold location that increase substantial the quantity until now known . We know that the particles of elluvium and colluvium are in the same place or nearness , of the rock source.
