The Oro Claim group consists of 6 unpatented association placer claims totaling about 900 acres southwest of Las Vegas, Nevada and situated in the El Dorado Mining District of Clark County, Nevada. The claims are easily accessible by road.
Gold was first discovered in this area by the Spaniards in 1775. Gold production was over 200,000 ounces and may have been as high as 350,000 ounces or more as much of the gold production may have been undocumented. Little placer mining was reported due to the gold being very fine or micron in size.
A recent preliminary Engineering report of these 6 claims is available and shows that total gold and silver reserves are about $100 million.
The average grade of gold tested ranges from .42 opt - .62 opt in the hard rock areas tested while the placer wash containing 250,000 tons yielded .027 opt.
The owner is not a miner and has priced the claims for quick sale at $500,000 even though the engineering report states that the value of the claims is over $4 million! He is offering owner terms with $100k down and the balance over 2 years.
Note that there is a 2% royalty on all gold and silver production to be paid to the previous owner.
