The Patented Washington Gulch Mine consists of about 72 mineable acres in Finn Mining District of Powell County, Montana. The mine is located 47 miles west of Helena and accessible via a gravel and unimproved dirt road. Water for mining is available from the creek.

Placer gold deposits in this area derived from exposed lode deposits north of the district along the Washington - Poorman Creek Divide. There are two separate placer sediments within the Washington Creek Drainage.

* Tests conducted by a natural resource managment company in 1989 suggest that at todays prices, gold production could exceed $1 Billion Dollars.

The gravels in the gulch were mined hydraulically until 1888 when the anti-debris law was passed. Since that time mining has been intermittent and includes drift mining in high grade near bed rock, drag line sluice box mining, and some dredging. Since recovery methods were so crude at the time, significant gold appears to remain in these gravels and sampling confirmed high grade gold values in the first two feet of bedrock.

This Patented mining property is for sale at $1.75 million with owner terms.

In addition a possible joint venture would be considered with the right company.
